Statistics & Analysis

The latest figure in 2001/02, out of the HK$78.16 billion turnover, the Hong Kong government received around HK$10.5 billion from the activities of the horse racing industry. This contribution accounted for 6.2% of the GDP and 6.75% of the government budget revenue.

The diminishing of Hong Kong Jockey Club betting turnover could be one of the factors affecting Hong Kong's public and charity affairs.
